Especially in these times where people get very antsy for every scrap of Nintendo news, people often turn to so-called "insiders" to look for leaks. I'm sure you're aware of several people who claim or have claimed to have inside knowledge on Nintendo's plans, and have leaks.
While that can be true, and these insiders have leaked individual pieces of news before, one thing rings true. The only thing they're consistent in, is how inconsistent they are.
Time and time again these "insiders" make claims and predictions that don't come true or they make claims that are so vague that they can later go back and say "see, I called it!"
And yet, people still trust these people. Some of them have tens of thousands of YouTube subscribers, hundreds of thousands of Twitter followers. People write articles about their claims, and spread them far and wide.
Why do people latch onto these "insiders" when time and time again they're proven to be wrong more than they're right?
