So who remembers AM2R? Remember when Nintendo took it down? Remember how soon after that, they released their own remake of Metroid 2? How about Mario Royale? Remember how they took that down and made their own version? Well Nintendo usually doesn't take down these things unless they directly compete with their own products. Well Nintendo took down Slippi recently, which was a modded version of Melee. It doesn't seem like something Nintendo would do unless they had a reason. This made me wonder, is Nintendo also planning to do something with an online version of Melee? I mean think about it, They made 3D All Stars Limited. Why would they do that? Perhaps they are working on some sort of subscription or addon to switch online with Gamecube, N64, Wii, and most importantly, Melee. All of these hints are pointing towards Nintendo pushing something like this out.
