It had always bothered me why people always tend to feel unfulfilled or underwhelmed after watching Nintendo Directs that premiered since the Switch's launch, despite some genuinely great announcements from those video presentations in the past, one example very recently being Splatoon 3. Some common complaints I have heard are that they show too many third party games, anime games, or games people genuinely do not care about, while showing relatively little 1st party games.
So my question is, if you are unsatisfied with modern Nintendo Directs, then how would you improve the system to make Nintendo Directs great and to live up to the hype?
