I could never get into Kirby and Yoshi games in the past, more so Kirby. The Yoshis Island game were pretty fun, but the others are fairly simple and unimagitive. Then theres Kirby. I like the characters in the series and Kirby is a cutesy character, but nothing much else personality wise.
My main gripe with these games is not that they are easy, but it's TOO easy, to the point of being uncreative and simple. I get that these games is mainly for kids, I get that, but Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and all the other IPs is also aimed at kids and it's still full of creativity and has challenging stages that also is aimed at adults. In Kirby games you could basically float past enemies and to the end goal, in Yoshis games you eat every enemy and can flutter jump past everything.
So, im genuinly curious about what the appeal of these games is? Is it the soundtrack, the lore, the nostalgia, characters?
