I've played the full wind waker game 3 times since I first played it back in 2013 on the Wii U. At the time, it was the first Zelda game that i've ever completely finished and spent my entire summer vacation playing it. I also spent the next 3 summer vacations playing it over again. to me, the game truly felt like summer.. The kids running around in the islands, the wind spells, the sunlight, all the side quests in Windfall island and the overall cheerful tunes and themes.. I just love it
I've played a handful of other legend of zelda games including BOTW (of which I found the main story to be a complete disappointment), Twilight Princess (TBH I got too bored to finish the game), Link's Awakening (switch edition), OOT, OOS and the original Legend Of Zelda.. I've took it upon myself to try to finish all Legend Of Zelda games during this pandemic. Even though I enjoyed all the games i've played and still enjoying the ones i'm currently playing I still somehow cannot get over Wind Waker...
I know that a lot of the criticism the game has received is directed towards the graphics.. But that's ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE PART... It's very childish in a way, but it brings with it a certain feel of nostalgia that I crave.
I don't really know why I made this post but I just want to share my thoughts and hear other people's opinions on the topic as well. So please let me know what you think... Also, this might just be my attempt at a Wind Waker love letter heheheh.
