Who should I believe in the Animal Cross(fire)ing?

We have seen the heaps of angry scores and comments towards AC for its multiplayer mechanics despite previous mentions of said mechanics. We see unfair massive drops in scores for the game despite its stellar gameplay. We get it. The one island sucks, but older games have been implementing this for a while. Lots of the same crowd condemn Nintendo’s greed due to the console lock, but Nintendo is a company and Companies exist for profit. From a business standpoint it would be a pretty stupid to not to console lock the game.

However, those cries are not wholly unjustified. We’ll be playing the devil’s advocate: a mom. Not all moms are as tech savvy as we are, even if that means pulling up a few articles. They probably don’t know where to find these reviews; even if they did, they might’ve scanned the article quickly. The game arrives and the family is frenzied and an angry post is made. Why wouldn’t you be mad about dishing out $60 for the kids to complain and fight. Then you find the only way to fix their whines is to buy another game and console so you return the game and return home to unhappy children a bad experience with Nintendo.

I have this game of tug of war that agrees with the former, but sympathizes with the latter. Are we bashing too hard against victims of misinformation? Are their angry comments uncalled for? Whatever the case, at least this little fight is taking our minds off of the virus.
