What Nintendo Should or should not change with a 3D Mario collection.

Rumors of the original 3D Mario games have been floating around recently. And despite personally not believing Nintendo would remake 3 Mario games, due to the effort. (even if they used SMO's engine) Remakes of these classics are still inevitable due to their status. So I have compiled a list of things Nintendo should and shouldn't change or add to these games when they get remade. Without any further introduction, let's begin with the original 3D Mario.

Super Mario 64:

First of all let's start with the obvious: 64's much lauded boot out system needs to go. Especially if it's included in a collection. (Since padding wouldn't be needed.)

Next I believe they should replace the originals wall jump physics, with something similar to Sunshine's. (Something 64 DS did.) Lastly I'd enjoy a co-op mode. Something modders have areready accomplished.

Moving on to things they should not change or incorporate: most of the changes from 64 DS should be left out entirely. Especially starting the game as Yoshi. If they must include the DS changes in some capacity, include a DS mode. Besides that I believe I'm done with this section of my post; so let's move on to Sunshine shall we?

Super Mario Sunshine.

Through veiwed as the black sheep of the 3D Mario games. (Although my personal favorite.) Nintendo should not drastically change Sunshine. Among changes they should change, they need to add a reward for completion: maybe a new area to explore, or an entirely new island. Besides that certain missions such as 8 coins on top the sand bird should be moved to after the shadow Mario mission. Speaking of angering areas the Pachinko Game seriously needs to be fixed or replaced entirely. Lastly I would also enjoy a night and day system to make the game feel even more alive.

Despite those I really don't think there is much you can change or make better with Sunshine. Maybe for less talented players, they can include a option for a blue coin detector, (which would ruin the entire point of blue coins,) or they could add a co-op mode similar to original concepts. But those changes wouldn't really be necessary.

Among things they shouldn't dabble with: they should keep the boot out system. Because unlike 64 every time you re-enter Sunshine's areas they're different, and contain altered terrain. And taking them out would make Sunshine a mess. After that I'd say keep the linear structure the same. Defeating shadow Mario and finishing the fun secret areas is a almost perfect progression system, with little flaws besides the Sunsprites being useless. (Which could be fixed with a completion reward.)
Finally don't alter the game to be easier. Now let's move on to the much beloved Galaxy.

Super Mario Galaxy.

To be honest there is little that can be improved with this one. Maybe a better camera, and co-op? And I can't think of anything Nintendo could ruin. So sorry? I mean maybe they could make it where you don't have to 100 percent twice to truly 100 percent it. But who cares?

Hope you enjoyed the list! If you agree or disagree, please say why, and state your own opinion in the comments. Also please remake Mario Galaxy 2 as well Nintendo? Please!
