Little more to say: the best Mario Party Superstars simply for having what the saga lacked, its online multiplayer!
Atomix - Alberto Desfassiaux - Spanish - 85 / 100
It doesn't really matter if you never played the past of Mario Party, you will also find a lot of value, especially if you have someone to share it with because in fact, I think this new installment of Switch comes at the perfect time for the holiday season that is about to start.
CGMagazine - Dayna Eileen - 8 / 10
Mario Party Superstars somehow manages to entertain and impress while bringing almost nothing new to the table aside from some annoying stickers and appreciated save features. Nintendo knows the road to success is nostalgia, and they manage to use it to hit the mark every time.
COGconnected - James Paley - 70 / 100
The game looks modern, but feels more like a classic entry in the franchise. If the thing you were missing was frustration and elation in equal measure, then yours will be a rich bounty indeed. For better and for worse, this is a heaping helping of the cruel whimsy you remember so well. Mario Party Superstars is a glamorous trip down cherished paths you’ve mostly blocked from your memory.
Cerealkillerz - Julian Bieder - German - 8.4 / 10
Looking back at it roots, Mario Party Superstars brings back some of the biggest joys from the Nineties. A wide selection of the best minigames and classic boards originally debuting on the Nintendo 64 surely will satisfy everbody's nostalgia. On the downside it feels like there's content lacking, since there are only five playable boards, no overarching story and nothing worthwile to unlock. As soon as the nostalgia wears off, this Mario Party almost feels... incomplete.

Mario Party Superstars is a love letter to the series' early beginning on the Nintendo 64. With improved game boards, a collection of 100 minigames, and a group of friends, this collection honours the Mario Party legacy.
Daily Mirror - James Ide - 4 / 5 stars
Superstars is a great game to play by yourself but even better with friends and the new online mode make this even easier. The best part is it just feels more like Mario Party as your fortunes can change in the blink of an eye. Mario Party Superstars is a celebration of the early Mario Party Series, featuring some of its most iconic boards and games while also being one of the best in the whole series.
Daily Star - Tom Hutchison - 5 / 5 stars
Older players who may remember the original titles will get that nostalgic feel. And even non-gamers will find this easy to enjoy. Great family fun.
Digital Trends - Giovanni Colantonio - 4 / 5 stars
Mario Party Superstars is the best game in the series, bringing a better selection of minigames and fewer gameplay gimmicks.
Digitally Downloaded - Matt Sainsbury - 4 / 5 stars
There's no doubt that Mario Party Superstars was a hasty project, pulled together to capitalise on the party season and keep the run-rate ticking over for Nintendo with a new release. It's hard not to look at a selection of boards that accounts for just a quarter of what was present in the first three Mario Party titles and not think that this is less a "superstars" package but rather a rather cynical sampler. Still, what is there is excellent quality, and if you've got Christmas parties and family events on the horizon then you will likely get a lot of value out of this game. Just don't spill beer on your controller. They don't make 'em as tough as they were back on the N64.

Mario Party Superstars launches in a great way a concept that evokes strong feelings of nostalgia and which needed to be on the Nintendo Switch.
Everyeye.it - Andrea Fontanesi - Italian - 8 / 10
If Super Mario Party chose to take the path of timid "next-gen" evolution, Mario Party Superstars takes the opposite, yet complementary, path of amarcord traditionalism. The result is a celebratory episode of fine workmanship, a reasoned selection of some of the most representative tables and minigames of what the franchise has been in its abundant twenty years of existence.
Game Informer - Brian Shea - 8 / 10
Whether you grew up with these games or this is your first time partying, Mario Party Superstars is a fun way to celebrate the series
GamePro - Tobias Veltin - German - 84 / 100
The perceived series best-of is the best Mario Party of recent years, but could have done with a larger scope.
GameSpot - Randolph Ramsay - 6 / 10
Mario Party Superstars delivers on the nostalgia, but at the cost of feeling fresh.
