Suppose they continued the franchise down the Star Fox 2 continuity with the new characters and more gameplay options than it just being a rail shooter, what is your ideal "Star Fox 3"? To break the ice, I feel it should more mission based than simply "There's the final boss! Lets go get him". They're a mercenary team, so naturally they should be taking jobs, and these jobs will award money for maintenance and upgrades as well open up more story. Peppy and Slippy should back out of direct gameplay and leave Fox, Falco, Miyu, and Fay as the fighters with statistical differences between their ships for more variety of choice. And lastly, resources should be limited to mirror the level by level flow of the previous games, forcing strategic planning of how you use your pilots and assets
