If You Think Nintendo Will Always Be Using Limited Releases, You Are Committing a Logical Fallacy.

Unfortunately, you may be upset at the moment. Please take a step back and look at what you are upset about - 1 package of emulated games that are currently still available for purchase, and 1 30 year old emulated game that will be $5 on the eShop with another window of release.

These are both celebrations of an anniversary of these titles: Mario, and Fire Emblem. These are not new games. This version of FE1 has been localized for English audiences, which is new. However, you can safely assume that Nintendo has heard what some of you have been saying, and know that you can personally emulated these games for free. You can also assume that Nintendo knows these will hardly sell as well as any other release.

These are both celebrations. Nintendo is offering you these titles to play on Switch. Big bummer that they haven't put VC on Switch since PC emulation has become so popular, but these are their own packages that you can download on your Switch. If you're going to get it, you'll get it.

This is false equivalency - this is not a new game or a major retail release. This is a celebration that is being rejected. If they get push back on it, they will stop releasing these things, not make them wildly availabe. If you think Nintendo will continue doing these limited releases with BotW2/MP4/SMTV/FE17, please understand that those will be a brand new product that will be markedly better than emulated games on a console that can. With games like BotW and MK8 still selling and pushing consoles, there is no reason to stop releasing the game at the moment. With an emulation that will be a treat to FE fans who want to try the original version on Switch, it will be a treat to the ones who want it. They are not the same.

I'm sorry that Covid made all the new games you wanted get delayed and instead you got a bunch of emulated releases this year instead of Super Mario Odyssey 2: Revenge of the Balloon Hunt, but please understand that having these resources and giving FE1 to the 100k people who want it is easy and a fun gift for $5.
