I loved all 2D Super Mario games. Being a kid in the early 90s Super Mario World was my masterpiece.
Neither Mario64 nor Sunshine could convince me that 3D Mario games were better than 2Ds.
I didn't like them.
I liked the pace, the feeling of control you've over mario in the 2D games. Hated the slippery/friction feel in Mario64. Hated the water spraying in Sunshine.
After Mario Allstars 3D has been released, i've thought: Let's give it a try. Maybe i was wrong all those decades before and 3D Marios might be better than 2Ds.
Started Mario64: Blocky low poly graphics, no widescreen, slippery feeling. Didn't like it, stopped after 10 stars.
Started Sunshine: Better graphics, widescreen support! and graphics improvements, but still this bloody water spraying.
Started Galaxy (never played b4): It's perfect.
All those years i've ignored Galaxy, coz i didn't like the predecessors.
Glad i've tried it after all those years, coz it's the best Mario J&R every made.
Didn't play Odysee either. Is it as good as galaxy?
