I can't access the Maze day event in Animal Crossing - like if I visit Tom Nook he doesn't say anything about it and the airport doesn't have the event - anyone know what the problem is.

I've only been playing the game for like three days so maybe that's the problem?

Do I need to progress to a certain point?

I heard the resident services building upgrades after about 7 days - does that need to happen first?
