What are the 'True' classics and/or must plays of the Nintendo world?

I'm an RPG fanatic and sony fanboy, who's only owned a handful of Nintendo consoles in his life (DS, 3DS, Wii/Wiiu/Switch) who typically only got those consoles to play Jrpg's such as Shin Megami Tensei or Final Fantasy. I started watching Chuggaconroy and Nintendocaprisun on youtube amidst the chaos and stress of the election and I felt a hole in my heart where my would be inner nintendo fanboy lies. You're still welcome to include these games on your list if you truly feel they deserve the spot-- but I admit, I have played a lot of Fire Emblem and Pokemon-- as they fit my obsession over JRPG's quite nicely.

I appreciate suggestions specifically for me, such as Xenoblade Chronicles, but I'm mostly trying to expand my gaming horizon-- so i'd prefer you don't tailor them for a 'jrpg' fan, but rather give your true feelings on what the best Nintendo games are. If I did have a bias that I wouldn't mind you filling though, it'd probably be that i'd prefer that the games aren't all NES/SNES games, if possible.

Thanks for any feedback or opinions shared.
