I mean come on. They have sold a "new" FIFA game every year since 1993, all with minimal changes. If you need proof, notice how each time a new FIFA game comes out, the one before it loses all its value and is sudenelly sold in charity shops for 50P. They ARE the same games, you can't deny it.
On the other hand take a look at Mario. For a prime example, Mario Party And Paper Mario. They could not be more different, but people lump them together just because they have Mario on the cover. Also within those series there are many changes to the formula. And you can even see this with the mainline games. The original Super Mario Bros. is unrecognisable from Mario Odyssey.
Sorry for the long essay, but I needed somewhere to vent my frustration and I hope some of you will agree with me.
